The process of grieve sometimes starts even before we have lost our loved ones. That happens when we have a loved one who is very sick, has a life threatening condition or a terminal disease. The loss expectancy happens when even though we have not yet lost our loved one, their death is inevitable. The loss expectancy often happens at the moment we learn about the possibility of death. In this case, the grief is a process that reaches all affected – the ones that expect the loss, but also the people that await their own death. The people close to them and the ones taking care of the sick, are also affected and are preparing for the moment of loss and separation.
